Bolt Nightstand - Yellow
An idea originally conceived as a solution to the lack of space for nightstands for bedrooms in city apartments, the Bolt Nightstand by Benjamin Vintage and Design is presented now as a marriage of material use, minimalist functionality, and a way to utilize surrounding space and light to the fullest. Manufactured by renowned Chicago acrylic artist Michael Plaminek, made with adhered colorful bolt shapes to allow for maximum durability and passthrough of light. Offered in blue and yellow options, each color changes and transforms via the light passing through. The yellow version presented here changes tones remarkably in lower light to bright light. Each has a triangular shaped back post third leg, which works as a prism to create vertical stripes of negative space while viewing the table as well as casting a rainbow with direct sunlight. The Bolt Nightstand has the clear top with cord cutout on the back edge to allow the the Nightstand to sit flush against the wall, two pairs of half inch holes to thread electronics cords through, and one shelf. Each piece is offered in blue and yellow, and measures 12.5” x 12.5” x 24.75” tall.
