SOLD - Large Abstract Carved Connemara Marble Biomorphic Sculpture
Fabulous and eye catching abstract marble sculpture. Features soft flowing biomorphic lines on an absolutely exquisite piece of stone, which I believe to be connemara of some sort. The stone has deep ocean blues with milky jade greens sandwiched between quartzlike gray and white sections. Unsigned but was told the artist this piece was acquired from carved it in the mid-20th century and had it as a garden sculpture for many years. Truly a fetching piece, one that can be rotated and come alive in new ways with different angles and light. Measures overall 9in x 10in x 13.25in tall. Excellent vintage condition, light age appropriate wear.
