SOLD - Vintage Mid-Century Modern Shelby Williams Bentwood Side Chair
Well constructed bentwood side or dining chair by Shelby Williams. Has a unique bentwood frame, with a stretcher that wraps around from one back leg, across the front, and along the other back leg. Circular seat and a nicely shaped backrest. Seat is made of oak but the backrest is made of some sort of exotic plywood, possibly olivewood. Stamped on underside for Shelby Williams from Chicago, and stamped to mention it is made using American labor and materials. Measures overall 34.5in tall x 15.5in x 15.5in, seat height measures 18in tall. Excellent vintage condition, two minor spots of wear along the edge of the seat edge and one small chip on the backside of the backrest, all as pictured.
